At Kidstale ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Kidstale, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use https://tales-dream.otmanamine45.workers.dev/, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Parent account: email address (for login only).

Child nickname only: an optional first name or nickname used to personalize stories. We never ask for a child's full legal name, school, address, phone number, or precise location.

Stories you create: the story settings you choose and the generated stories you save, so your library follows you across devices.

Automatic: basic technical data needed to operate the site (e.g. pages visited, approximate device information) via our hosting provider. We do not collect payment details (we sell nothing yet), phone numbers, or billing addresses, and we run no advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and maintain the website and generate your stories
• Sync your story library across your devices
• Respond to inquiries and provide support
• Prevent abuse and ensure security (e.g. fair-use limits)
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your language, keep you logged in, and (for guests) keep stories on your device. We use no third-party tracking or advertising cookies. You can clear site data in your browser settings, but guest stories and login sessions will be lost.

4. Third-Party Services

We share the minimum data needed with trusted infrastructure providers who are obligated to protect it:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery
• Supabase (EU region) — secure login and story storage, protected so each user can only ever access their own data
• Google Fonts — loads display fonts from Google's CDN

We sell no data, share no data with advertisers, and run no third-party analytics that identify you or your child.

5. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (encrypted connections, access controls, database-level isolation between users). We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete individual stories in your Library, and delete your account and all associated data at any time via the Account page or by emailing us.

6. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data
• Withdraw consent / delete your account at any time
• Request a copy of your stories (data portability)

7. Children's Privacy

Kidstale is designed for parents, grandparents, teachers, and guardians of children approximately 2–10 years old — not for children to use alone or to sign up themselves. We collect no data directly from children: any nickname entered is provided by the parent, and parents may edit or delete it (and all stories) at any time.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product grows (e.g. subscriptions, narration). The updated version with a new Effective Date will be posted on this page.
